The workshop will begin with an informative talk and discussion about caring for and maintaining your houseplants. I’ll be giving you tips on choosing the best potting soil to buy and mix yourself with only local products, budget friendly and help your plant babies live their best life! I’ll be discussing all things houseplants, how to propagate so you can start your own mini-plant family along with different mediums you can use such as sphagnum moss and lecca to root your cuttings in. I will also touch base on some things to know to recognize and remedying pests – no green thumb required. Plus, you’ll be able to ask all of your burning questions in our Q&A session at the end! The workshop includes: - Hand on indoor plant guidance for caring and maintaining houseplants. - Instructional tips and tricks for indoor plants. - We will provide the soil and mediums for a variety of house plants to repot if required from a 4 inch to a 5 inch planter. - Sample amount of propagating medium (lecca or sphagnum) you may require when propagating your plant. You will need: - House plant that needs to be repotted or propagated (planter size 4 inch or smaller) - 1 size larger empty planter to repot your plant into (4.5-5 inches) , Planter MUST HAVE HOLES in the bottom. Plant is not required to join in and learn! Location: Riverview, Lions club 701 Coverdale RD Cost: $15 Length: approx. 2 hours More than One plant? You must purchase a ticket for each plant Don't have a planter to repot in? We will have some for purchase at an additional cost.
